The brief

“What would you want to see before contacting a builder?”

The question behind the build.

Help clients get to know HWB.

HWB Construction works on residential and commercial projects in London. Prospective clients needed to see the kinds of buildings and interiors the company had worked on, understand its services and find out how to get in touch.

We handled the website from the initial planning through to launch. The brief covered the page structure and design, the WordPress build and the technical work needed to get the site ready for use.

HWB also needed someone to look after the website once it was live. Hosting and ongoing support were included in our scope, so the team could come back to us for fixes and website changes.

The goal

Help visitors assess the work.

People looking for a builder want to see work similar to what they have in mind. We wanted the website to make that research straightforward, with space for photographs and a clear explanation of HWB’s services.

Once visitors had found what they needed, they should be able to contact the team easily. Phone details and a callback option would let them ask questions about their own project.

Show completed projects
Separate residential and commercial work so visitors can find the examples relevant to them.
Explain the services
Give each service a clear place on the site, with company information available alongside it.
Plan for upkeep
Include hosting, maintenance and support in the project scope from the start.

Our approach

How we built and maintain the site

We planned the pages around HWB’s services and completed work, then designed and built them in WordPress. Project photography is prominent throughout, while the navigation connects the portfolio with service details and contact information.

Our work included technical SEO, performance and accessibility checks, followed by testing and handover. We continue to host and maintain the site.

  1. Agree the structure

We worked directly with HWB to establish what the site needed to explain. We used those discussions to organise the pages and plan the design and build.

  2. Build the portfolio

Residential and commercial projects have separate portfolio pages. Visitors can browse the photographs and use the service pages to learn more about the work HWB takes on.

  3. Make contact straightforward

The WordPress site includes contact details and a callback enquiry option. These give people a direct way to speak to HWB after looking through the projects.

  4. Prepare for launch

We worked on technical SEO, performance and accessibility before testing the site for launch. Handover was included so HWB had support as it began using the completed website.

  5. Provide hosting and maintenance

We host the site and provide ongoing maintenance and technical support. HWB can return to the team that built it when something needs fixing or changing.

The outcome

The website HWB uses today

HWB’s website gives prospective clients a place to review completed projects and read about the company’s services. They can use the contact details or callback option when they are ready to discuss their own work.

We remain responsible for hosting, maintenance and website support. That gives HWB a regular point of contact for technical issues and changes after launch.
