A retail town that decides in seconds
Kingston is one of the biggest shopping destinations in London outside the West End, and the town works accordingly. The Bentall Centre and Clarence Street draw people in from across south-west London and Surrey, there is still a market running in the Ancient Market Place, and the riverside fills up as soon as the weather turns. Kingston University has around 21,000 students, and the town centre carries that.
That changes what the site has to do. Your customer is usually on a phone, on a connection you do not control, choosing between you and somewhere close by. They are not there to read about you. They want opening hours, a price, a menu, a table or directions, and they want them immediately.

Are you actually in Kingston?
We are in New Malden, about two miles from the town centre. Close enough to meet without either of us blocking out an afternoon.
Do we have to be local?
No. The page is here for local search and for people who would rather brief someone they can walk to. We also work with clients who never visit.
Can we meet in person?
Yes — discovery and handover are worth doing face to face when the people who will edit the site can be in the room. The rest runs over email, calls and a shared board.
We trade seven days and the site is edited on a Sunday. Does that work?
Yes. Editing is not gated behind us — nothing about the build assumes we are at a desk when you need a price changed. Support response windows are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 20:00, so a message sent on a Sunday is picked up the next working day.
